EMF students receive scholarships from the DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation
Thirteen North Carolina students at this summer’s Eastern Music Festival have received scholarships from the DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation. The scholarship funding comes from $20,000 that the Greensboro-based foundation gave to EMF. This marks the foundation’s fourth year of support. Wos is a former U.S. ambassador to Estonia and former secretary of the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services. DeJoy was the chief executive officer of High Point-based New Breed Logistics and XPO Logistics’ supply chain business in the Americas. He is now president of LDJ Global Strategies, a strategic real estate investment and consulting company. For 58 summers, EMF has provided classical music instruction to students from around the world, under the artistic direction of Gerard Schwarz.
