Louis DeJoy is an accomplished American entrepreneur, business executive, real estate investor, community leader, philanthropist, and political fundraiser, with more than 35 years’ experience with both private and public companies. He was Chairman and CEO of New Breed Logistics between 1983 and 2014, evolving the company from a small trucking firm to a nationally recognized leader in the logistics and supply chain industry with more than 8,000 employees.
DeJoy is currently president of LDJ Global Strategies, LLC, a strategic real estate investment and consulting company based in Greensboro, North Carolina. He also holds several board positions and serves a number of civic, business, institutional, and educational organizations.
In 2014, DeJoy merged New Breed Logistics with XPO Logistics (NYSE: XPO). DeJoy then served as Chief Executive Officer of XPO Logistics’ Supply Chain business in the Americas. In December 2015, DeJoy retired his position and was appointed to a strategic role on XPO Logistics’ board of directors.
Louis DeJoy currently resides in Greensboro, North Carolina, with his wife, Dr. Aldona Wos, and their twins Ania and Andrew DeJoy.
Dr. Aldona Wos
Dr. Aldona Wos is a native of Poland, a graduate of the Warsaw Medical Academy, and a retired internal medicine and pulmonary medicine physician. Dr. Wos served two terms as a Presidential appointee to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. From 2004-2006, Dr. Wos was appointed by President Bush as the U. S. Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia. From 2013-2015, Dr. Wos served as Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
In May 2017, President Donald Trump appointed Dr. Wos as Vice Chair of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships—one of America’s most prestigious programs for leadership and public service. The President’s Commission on White House Fellowships is responsible for interviewing candidates and recommending people to the President. White House Fellowships offer exceptional young men and women first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the federal government.
Dr. Aldona Wos currently resides in Greensboro, North Carolina, with her husband, Louis DeJoy, and their twins Ania and Andrew DeJoy.
