The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation awarded scholarships to students with ties to North Carolina and Estonia, with priority given to students with financial need. The DeJoy-Woś Scholarship program has been funded for 19 years by the DeJoy-Woś Family Foundation. This year marks the second year of a new gift of $500,000 to be distributed over five years.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was a “Reception Sponsor” for the 34th Annual TFAS Scholarship Dinner, which was held on July 11, 2024 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Funds raised by this annual dinner support scholarships for highly qualified, ambitious student leaders to attend our transformational TFAS D.C. Summer Programs track on Business + Government Relations. This comprehensive program includes: courses on economics and government relations for transferable credit; guaranteed internships with government affairs offices of notable corporations, trade associations and lobbying firms in the D.C. area; and unparalleled access to networking and professional development opportunities including special guest lectures, site briefings, a mentorship program and more.

Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. They seek to bring every eligible child’s wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight their illness.

Family Service of the Piedmont serves more than 18,000 local children and adults each year, addressing issues of domestic violence, child abuse, mental health and financial stability.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation continued their support of Junior Achievement of the Triad by sponsoring the 44th Annual Business Leaders Hall of Fame held March 12, 2024. Junior Achievement of the Triad’s Business Leaders Hall of Fame is an event to recognize and honor the professional accomplishments of visionary businessmen and women who have shaped the Triad’s economic landscape.
The 2024 event inducted Davida Martin, Adrian Smith & Shawn Willis into the Business Leaders Hall of Fame. The annual event has been conducted since 1980.
In 2018, Louis DeJoy was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The prestigious Louis DeJoy and Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Scholarship has been awarded to three new students in 2023: Peace Ajirotutu, Amanda Clark, and Anders Jensen.
Established in 2017 through a generous $1 million gift by Louis DeJoy and Amb. Aldona Woś, this scholarship will be available to exemplary IWP students up to 2027. The Louis DeJoy and Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Scholarship provides up to full tuition per semester for recent college graduates who demonstrate significant academic, professional, or personal achievement, as well as a history of leadership and an overall potential to succeed in IWP’s rigorous course of study.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was proud to be an Ambassador Sponsor for IWP’s gala event, titled “From IWP with Love”: An Evening of Espionage. The event was held at the International Spy Museum on October 26, 2023. There were approximately 400 students, alumni, trustees, faculty, and supporters in attendance to celebrate IWP’s intelligence programs.
High-level sponsors of the event had the opportunity to experience the SPY exhibit with IWP faculty members, who shared some of their own experiences in the Intelligence Community and how the exhibits in the museum related to what they taught in class.
