The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation continued their support of Junior Achievement of the Triad by sponsoring the 42nd Annual Business Leaders Hall of Fame held January 25, 2022. Junior Achievement of the Triad’s Business Leaders Hall of Fame is an event to recognize and honor the professional accomplishments of visionary businessmen and women who have shaped the Triad’s economic landscape.
The 2022 event inducted Chancellor Harrold L. Martin Sr. of NC A&T State University and Derek Ellington of Wells Fargo into the Business Leaders Hall of Fame. The annual event has been conducted since 1980.
In 2018, Louis DeJoy was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation made a $10,000 contribution to the Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation.
Since 1997, the Foundation has brought essential medical care to families throughout the Holy Land. The Foundation works to support Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem, a state-of-the-art women and infants hospital located just 1,500 steps from the birthplace of Christ. To date, over 75,000 infants have been born at Holy Family Hospital, and thousands more have been touched by its lifesaving care. The Foundation serves to promote its Catholic values of preserving life, fostering peace, and bringing hope to those without a voice.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation continued their support of The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) by sponsoring the 55th annual Citation Award Dinner on November 10, 2021. The event honored Betty Cone and Kitty and Earl Congdon with the Citation Award.
The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) is a human relations organization that promotes inclusion and acceptance by providing education and advocacy while building communities that are respectful and just for all. NCCJ celebrates the diversity of races, religions, cultures, genders, abilities & sexual orientations.
Three Institute of World Politics students were awarded the prestigious Louis DeJoy and Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Scholarship in 2021.
Established in 2017 through a generous $1 million gift by Louis DeJoy and Amb. Aldona Woś, this scholarship will be available to exemplary IWP students up to 2027. The Louis DeJoy and Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Scholarship provides up to full tuition per semester for recent college graduates who demonstrate significant academic, professional, or personal achievement, as well as a history of leadership and an overall potential to succeed in IWP’s rigorous course of study.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation is a proud sponsor of the Institute of World Politics (IWP) annual Chancellor’s Council Dinner held in conjunction with the 30th (+1) Anniversary Gala at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. on October 27, 2021. Nearly 300 IWP supporters, alumni, students, faculty members and friends were able to celebrate in-person after the 30th Anniversary celebration was derailed by the pandemic in 2020.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation proudly supports the Winston-Salem Open, a men’s professional tennis tournament played on the ATP Tour at Wake Forest University. The tournament returned at full capacity after being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation supports a diverse number of projects and organizations that enhance the physical, economic and social elements of communities. The Winston-Salem Open embodies collaboration and success in our community, and is aligned with the initiatives of the DeJoy/Wos Family Foundation.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation continued its sponsorship of the Wyndham Championship and Wednesday Pro-Am for the fourteenth consecutive year. The Foundation proudly sponsors The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation Wednesday Pro-Am where you golf alongside a PGA TOUR player. This year’s Wyndham Championship winner was Kevin Kisner who won in a record-tying six-man playoff.
In the fourth of a five-year gift funded through the DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation and organized by The Fund for American Studies (TFAS), one scholarship was awarded to an Estonia student and eight were awarded to North Carolina students, with priority given to students with financial need. The students interned with government agencies, media outlets, businesses and nonprofit organizations, while attending courses with academic credit provided through George Mason University.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was a Diamond Sponsor for the 18th Annual Greensboro Oyster Roast, which is the primary annual fundraising event for Family Service of the Piedmont. The drive-thru event raised more than $310,000 to support Greensboro children and families in crisis.

The 2021 event inducted Don Flow, Chairman & CEO of Flow Companies Inc. and Robert E. Long Jr., Partner at Piedmont Capital Partners, LLC into the Business Leaders Hall of Fame. The annual event has been conducted since 1980.
