Louis DeJoy
Louis DeJoy is an accomplished American entrepreneur, business executive, real estate investor, community leader, philanthropist, and political fundraiser, with more than 35 years’ experience with both private and public companies. Louis currently serves as Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer for the United States Postal Service.
For more than 30 years, Louis served as chairman and CEO of New Breed Logistics, Inc. (1983-2014), a leading U.S. provider of highly engineered, technology-driven, contract logistics solutions. In 2014, Louis merged New Breed Logistics with XPO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: XPO). He then served as chief executive officer of XPO Logistics’ supply chain business in the Americas. In December 2015, Louis retired as CEO and was appointed to a strategic role on XPO Logistics’ board of directors. In May 2018, Louis retired from the XPO Logistics’ board of directors.
In addition to his public service role as Postmaster General, Louis is president of LDJ Global Strategies, LLC, a strategic real estate investment and consulting company based in Greensboro, North Carolina. He also holds several board positions and serves a number of civic, business, institutional, and educational organizations.
DeJoy is a member of the Board of Trustees for Elon University, where he serves as chair of the Business and Finance Committee and is a member of the Investment Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the PGA Wyndham Championship and the Piedmont Triad Partnership. On March 1, 2017, Louis was honored with the Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership, which is bestowed upon individuals who possess integrity, innovation and creativity, a passion for lifelong learning, and a commitment to building a dynamic community. Louis was inducted into Junior Achievement of the Triad’s Business Leaders Hall of Fame on January 23, 2018. Hall of Fame inductees are visionary businessmen and women who are recognized and honored for shaping the Piedmont Triad North Carolina economic landscape.
DeJoy received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting from Stetson University, and began his career as a Certified Public Accountant in Florida. He resides in Greensboro, NC with his wife, Dr. Aldona Woś.
Dr. Aldona Woś
Dr. Aldona Woś is a native of Poland, a graduate of the Warsaw Medical Academy, and a retired internal medicine and pulmonary medicine physician. Dr. Woś served two terms as a Presidential appointee to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. From 2004-2006, she was appointed by President Bush and served as the U. S. Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia. From 2013-2015, Dr. Woś served as Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. She is currently the President of the Institute of World Politics.
In May 2017, President Donald Trump appointed Dr. Woś as Vice Chair of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships—one of America’s most prestigious programs for leadership and public service. The President’s Commission on White House Fellowships is responsible for interviewing candidates and recommending people to the President. White House Fellowships offer exceptional young men and women first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the federal government.
