The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was proud to be the Presenting Sponsor, for the Greensboro Police Foundation’s “The Blue Salute.” The event was held at Piedmont Hall on September 30, 2023. Funds raised will go a long way toward supporting the many initiatives in the areas of police training, equipment, and technology; officer well-being and recognition; and community partnerships and advocacy.
The event featured exhibits and demonstrations of cutting-edge police technology and equipment.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was a Platinum Sponsor for the 2023 Greensboro Science Center’s “See to Believe” Gala held on September 22, 2023. The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation has continually supported the Gala since 2014.
The Gala is an annual fundraising event supporting the Greensboro Science Center. Guests are invited to experience the wonders of our world, from the majesty of an underwater oasis, to an exciting atmosphere full of lively lights and colors.
Established in 1957, the Greensboro Science Center is an aquarium, museum and zoo located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Center is committed to excellence in science education by providing the community with a dynamic, experiential and family-focused attraction designed to inspire scientific curiosity and encourage personal discovery about life and the natural world. The Greensboro Science Center is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the American Alliance of Museums.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation proudly sponsored the 2023 Winston-Salem Open, a men’s professional tennis tournament played on the ATP Tour at Wake Forest University. This year’s singles winner was Sebastian Baez who became the first Argentine since Juan Martin del Potro to win three titles in the same season.
The Winston-Salem Open is a charitable non-profit whose proceeds benefit many in the local community. The primary charitable partner is the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County Schools middle school athletic programs. The Winston-Salem Open proceeds helped bring back cross country programs and expand tennis to all of the middle schools in Forsyth County.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation proudly sponsored the Wyndham Championship and Wednesday Pro-Am for the sixteenth consecutive year. The Foundation proudly sponsors The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation Wednesday Pro-Am where you golf alongside a PGA TOUR player. This year’s Wyndham Championship winner was Lucas Glover.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation awarded scholarships to students with ties to North Carolina and Estonia, with priority given to students with financial need. The DeJoy-Woś Scholarship program has been funded for 18 years by the DeJoy-Woś Family Foundation. This year marks the first year of a new gift of $500,000 to be distributed over five years.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was a “Reception Sponsor” for the 33rd Annual TFAS Scholarship Dinner, which was held on July 12, 2023 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Funds raised by this annual dinner support scholarships for highly qualified, ambitious student leaders to attend our transformational TFAS D.C. Summer Programs track on Business + Government Relations. This comprehensive program includes: courses on economics and government relations for transferable credit; guaranteed internships with government affairs offices of notable corporations, trade associations and lobbying firms in the D.C. area; and unparalleled access to networking and professional development opportunities including special guest lectures, site briefings, a mentorship program and more.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation contributed $10,000 to The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro’s annual campaign.
The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro is a community-supported nonprofit organization and the largest public and private alliance dedicated to sustaining our local arts economy. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. They seek to bring every eligible child’s wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight their illness.
The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was proud to be a Diamond Sponsor for the 20th Annual Greensboro Oyster Roast held on April 28, 2023. The Oyster Roast is the primary annual fundraising event for Family Service of the Piedmont.
Family Service of the Piedmont serves more than 18,000 local children and adults each year, addressing issues of domestic violence, child abuse, mental health and financial stability.
