The DeJoy\Woś Family Foundation has proudly supported Duke University since 2007—a partnership now spanning 18 years of commitment to the university’s educational, athletic, and building fund programs. The family’s generosity reflects their deep belief in Duke’s mission to educate the next generation of leaders across business, law, public policy, and athletics.
The DeJoy Family Club at Blue Devil Tower
The DeJoy\Woś Family Foundation was a proud supporter of the transformation of Wallace Wade Stadium with the addition of the new 110,000-square-foot Blue Devil Tower at Duke University.
The DeJoy Family Club, located on the second level of Blue Devil Tower on the west side of Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium, features:
- 516 club seats and 142 outdoor tabletop seats
- 6,536 square feet of premium event space overlooking Brooks Field
- Two buffet areas and two full bars
- 14 high-definition televisions and projection screens
- Climate-controlled lounges and private restrooms
- A central kitchen ensuring top-tier service
The DeJoy Family Club serves as both a premier game-day destination for Blue Devil fans and a year-round event venue for luncheons, meetings, dinners, weddings, and special occasions—accommodating up to 360 guests for seated events or 600 for standing receptions. The space also functions as a year-round training table for Duke student athletes.
The dedication of the DeJoy Family Club took place on September 19, 2016, with Louis DeJoy, Dr. Aldona Woś, and their children Andrew and Ania DeJoy in attendance.
Duke University School of Law
In 2018, the DeJoy\Woś Family Foundation made a five-year pledge to support Duke University School of Law through an endowed fund honoring David F. Levi, who stepped down as the James B. Duke and Benjamin N. Duke Dean of Duke Law School after serving for 11 years.
The endowment establishes a distinguished professorship in law and judicial studies and the directorship of the Bolch Judicial Institute in honor of Dean Levi’s legacy. Under his leadership from 2007 to 2018, Duke Law experienced significant growth in faculty, academic programs, financial aid, and fundraising. Dean Levi—a former Chief United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California—went on to serve as the inaugural director of the Bolch Judicial Institute and is now president of the American Law Institute.
Duke Law School is an ambitious, forward-thinking, and innovative institution whose mission is to prepare students for responsible and productive lives in the legal profession. As a community of scholars, the Law School also provides leadership at the national and international levels in efforts to improve the law and legal institutions through teaching, research, and other forms of public service.
The Foundation’s support of Duke Law also includes membership in the Barrister Donor Society, the Law School’s leadership giving society founded in 1975 to set a standard of commitment that encourages support from others. The Barrister Donor Society recognizes alumni and friends whose generous support enables Duke to maintain its status as one of the top law schools in the country.
