The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation continued their support of Junior Achievement of the Triad by sponsoring the 44th Annual Business Leaders Hall of Fame held March 12, 2024. Junior Achievement of the Triad’s Business Leaders Hall of Fame is an event to recognize and honor the professional accomplishments of visionary businessmen and women who have shaped the Triad’s economic landscape.

The 2024 event inducted Davida Martin, Adrian Smith & Shawn Willis into the Business Leaders Hall of Fame. The annual event has been conducted since 1980.

In 2018, Louis DeJoy was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The prestigious Louis DeJoy and Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Scholarship has been awarded to three new students in 2023: Peace Ajirotutu, Amanda Clark, and Anders Jensen.

Established in 2017 through a generous $1 million gift by Louis DeJoy and Amb. Aldona Woś, this scholarship will be available to exemplary IWP students up to 2027. The Louis DeJoy and Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Scholarship provides up to full tuition per semester for recent college graduates who demonstrate significant academic, professional, or personal achievement, as well as a history of leadership and an overall potential to succeed in IWP’s rigorous course of study.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was proud to be a Sapphire Sponsor for the 2023 National Postal Museum Gala. The black-tie event was held on November 4, 2023 and honored receipients of the 2023 Smithsonian Philatelic Achievement Awards.

The Smithsonian National Postal Museum is located in the historic City Post Office Building in Washington, D.C. and houses one of the largest and most significant philatelic and postal history collections in the world.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was proud to be an Ambassador Sponsor for IWP’s gala event, titled “From IWP with Love”: An Evening of Espionage. The event was held at the International Spy Museum on October 26, 2023. There were approximately 400 students, alumni, trustees, faculty, and supporters in attendance to celebrate IWP’s intelligence programs.

High-level sponsors of the event had the opportunity to experience the SPY exhibit with IWP faculty members, who shared some of their own experiences in the Intelligence Community and how the exhibits in the museum related to what they taught in class.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was proud to be the Presenting Sponsor, for the Greensboro Police Foundation’s “The Blue Salute.”  The event was held at Piedmont Hall on September 30, 2023. Funds raised will go a long way toward supporting the many initiatives in the areas of police training, equipment, and technology; officer well-being and recognition; and community partnerships and advocacy.

The event featured exhibits and demonstrations of cutting-edge police technology and equipment.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was a Platinum Sponsor for the 2023 Greensboro Science Center’s “See to Believe” Gala held on September 22, 2023. The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation has continually supported the Gala since 2014.

The Gala is an annual fundraising event supporting the Greensboro Science Center. Guests are invited to experience the wonders of our world, from the majesty of an underwater oasis, to an exciting atmosphere full of lively lights and colors.

Established in 1957, the Greensboro Science Center is an aquarium, museum and zoo located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Center is committed to excellence in science education by providing the community with a dynamic, experiential and family-focused attraction designed to inspire scientific curiosity and encourage personal discovery about life and the natural world. The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation proudly sponsored the 2023 Winston-Salem Open, a men’s professional tennis tournament played on the ATP Tour at Wake Forest University. This year’s singles winner was Sebastian Baez who became the first Argentine since Juan Martin del Potro to win three titles in the same season.

The Winston-Salem Open is a charitable non-profit whose proceeds benefit many in the local community.  The primary charitable partner is the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County Schools middle school athletic programs.  The Winston-Salem Open proceeds helped bring back cross country programs and expand tennis to all of the middle schools in Forsyth County.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation proudly sponsored the Wyndham Championship and Wednesday Pro-Am for the sixteenth consecutive year. The Foundation proudly sponsors The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation Wednesday Pro-Am where you golf alongside a PGA TOUR player. This year’s Wyndham Championship winner was Lucas Glover.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation awarded scholarships to students with ties to North Carolina and Estonia, with priority given to students with financial need. The DeJoy-Woś Scholarship program has been funded for 18 years by the DeJoy-Woś Family Foundation. This year marks the first year of a new gift of $500,000 to be distributed over five years.

Summer Programs track on Business + Government Relations.
