Well-Spring Solutions offers adult day care for older adults with dementia, providing not only its participants with socialization, cognitive stimulation and a safe, secure setting, but also much-needed breaks for family caregivers. As difficult as it is under normal circumstances to care for a loved one with dementia, just imagine doing so during COVID. Now more than ever, these families desperately need critical assistance.

Three Institute of World Politics students were awarded the prestigious Louis DeJoy and Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Scholarship in 2022.

Established in 2017 through a generous $1 million gift by Louis DeJoy and Amb. Aldona Woś, this scholarship will be available to exemplary IWP students up to 2027. The Louis DeJoy and Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Scholarship provides up to full tuition per semester for recent college graduates who demonstrate significant academic, professional, or personal achievement, as well as a history of leadership and an overall potential to succeed in IWP’s rigorous course of study.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation proudly sponsored the 2022 Winston-Salem Open, a men’s professional tennis tournament played on the ATP Tour at Wake Forest University. This year’s singles winner was Adrian Mannarino, the first French champion in the tournament’s history. Mannarino, 34 years old, is also the oldest champion in the tournament’s history.

The Winston-Salem Open is a charitable non-profit whose proceeds benefit many in the local community.  The primary charitable partner is the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County Schools middle school athletic programs.  The Winston-Salem Open proceeds helped bring back cross country programs and expand tennis to all of the middle schools in Forsyth County.

The Foundation proudly sponsors The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation Wednesday Pro-Am where you golf alongside a PGA TOUR player. This year’s Wyndham Championship winner was Tom Kim who is the first player born in the 21^st century to win on Tour.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was a “Dinner Sponsor” for the 32nd Annual TFAS Scholarship Dinner, which was held on July 13, 2022 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Funds raised by this annual dinner support scholarships for highly qualified, ambitious student leaders to attend our transformational TFAS D.C. Summer Programs track on Business + Government Relations. This comprehensive program includes: courses on economics and government relations for transferable credit; guaranteed internships with government affairs offices of notable corporations, trade associations and lobbying firms in the D.C. area; and unparalleled access to networking and professional development opportunities including special guest lectures, site briefings, a mentorship program and more.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation made a $2,000,000 leadership pledge to support the Victims of Communism Museum in Washington, DC, which hosted its grand opening on June 8, 2022.

The new museum will serve as the free world’s central hub for the remembrance of the more than 100 million people who suffered and died under communist ideology, and the more than 1.5 billion people still living under totalitarian regimes.

Ambassador Woś and Mr. DeJoy have been key allies and supporters of VOC since 2006 with Ambassador Woś serving on its board since 2009.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was a Ruby Sponsor for the 2022 Greensboro Science Center’s “Wings & Wild Things” event held on May 12, 2022, which raised over $102,000.

Over 350 guests previewed the new Cole Family Monarch Conservation Center and Butterfly House, as well as the Amazing Butterflies maze. Both attractions are now open to the public.

Established in 1957, the Greensboro Science Center is an aquarium, museum and zoo located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. They seek to bring every eligible child’s wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight their illness.

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation was proud to be a Diamond Sponsor for the 19th Annual Greensboro Oyster Roast held on April 29, 2022, which raised $397,897. The Oyster Roast is the primary annual fundraising event for Family Service of the Piedmont.

Family Service of the Piedmont serves more than 18,000 local children and adults each year, addressing issues of domestic violence, child abuse, mental health and financial stability.
